A. If required by a police officer, firefighter, or code enforcement officer, the person listed as the emergency contact must be on the short-term rental premises, or be available by phone or text, within 30 minutes after receiving the request.

B. Notwithstanding subsection A of this section, the emergency contact must be on the short-term rental premises in-person within 30 minutes after being registered by a police officer, firefighter, or code enforcement officer if the short-term rental owner or the short-term rental property:

1. Has one verified violation within the last 12 months; or

2. Has a short-term rental permit suspended within the last 36 months.

C. If there is a change to the emergency contact shown on the permit application, the owner of a short-term rental must immediately update the contact information to the Planning and Development Department. (Ord. No. G-7156, § 1, 2023)
