If vote tabulating equipment will be used to count ballots, a voter who desires to vote for a write-in candidate shall write the candidate’s name in the appropriate space provided on the ballot, and shall mark the ballot in the appropriate area next to the written name. A write-in vote will not be counted if the name is not written in the appropriate space or if the ballot is not marked in the appropriate area next to the written name. (Ord. No. G-5390, § 1, 2009)
