It is the policy of the City of Phoenix that Arizona and out-of-State suppliers of goods or services to the City and lessees of real property from the City for a period in excess of six months adhere to a policy of equal employment opportunity to recruit, hire and promote regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, or disability, and to adhere to a policy to pay equal compensation to men and women who perform jobs that require substantially equal skill, effort, and responsibility, and that are performed within the same establishment under similar working conditions. Suppliers or lessees who employ more than 35 persons shall also include sexual orientation and gender identity or expression in their equal employment opportunity policies. (Ord.
