The Director of the Police Department shall have the authority to dismiss Special Police Officers when he finds such dismissal to be in the best interest of the City. Vacancies for the number of Special Police Officers so appointed shall be within the sole discretion of the Director of the Police Department. (Code 1962, § 19-26; Ord. No. G-5444, § 3, 2009)
