A. Committee members shall serve two-year staggered terms.

B. To create the staggered terms and ensure continuity of experience on the Committee, members appointed by Council Districts 2, 4, 6, and 8 shall initially serve a term of one year.

C. After their initial term, all members may serve an additional two-year term.

D. The term of any member automatically ends:

1. On death of the member.

2. On submittal of a written resignation to the Committee Chair or the Street Transportation Director.

3. On removal from office under Section 2-51.

4. On failure to attend two consecutive regular meetings of the Committee.

E. The absence of any member for two consecutive regular meetings of the Committee shall render any such member liable for immediate removal from the Committee. Removal shall be at the discretion of the Street Transportation Department Director.

F. Vacancies for an unexpired term shall be filled by the respective Council District or Mayor.

G. No Committee member shall serve more than two consecutive full terms, together with any partial term which is less than two years due to a vacancy.

H. Any member shall serve the unexpired term of a vacant office before the Committee member’s term officially begins.

I. Each youth member will serve a one-year term with the possibility of appointment to serve a second one-year term. (Ord. No. G-7069, § 1, 2023)
