A. Each department may have one or more assistant department directors, appointed with City Manager approval, who shall be administrative officers and who shall have the powers and may perform the duties prescribed by law for the director of their departments, subject to the supervision of the director.

B. Each department may be organized in one or more divisions to handle the functions of the department. Each division shall be headed by a division head or deputy department manager, appointed with City Manager approval, who shall report to the department director or assistant department director and perform the duties prescribed by the department director.

C. The work of each division may be distributed among such subordinate units as may be established by the department director. (Ord. No. G-5444, § 2, 2009)
