The installation of sewer taps eight inches or less is the responsibility of the Department. The developer will be responsible for the excavation to and the uncovering of the City’s sewer main. All excavation and trenching will be performed in accordance with the latest regulations of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. The developer must notify the Department at least 48 hours in advance for the required sewer taps. Department representatives will be prohibited from entering any excavation or trench not meeting the safety requirement of any applicable City, State or Federal regulations. Upon completion of the installation of the sewer tap, the developer will be responsible for backfilling the trench and restoring the surface to its original condition or as shown on the approved engineering plans. All sealed connections must be inspected and approved by the Planning and Development Department prior to being backfilled in accordance with Section 28-30(A). (Ord. No. G-1935, § 2; Ord.
