Sec. 4-83. Established fare rates for taxicabs.
Maximum and minimum passenger fare rates for fares applicable to taxicabs departing from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PSHIA) shall be as follows:
A. Subject to subsections C and D of this section, the taxicab fare per trip shall not exceed $5.00 for the first mile and $2.30 for each additional mile.
B. A taxicab provider may assess a traffic delay charge, in accordance with its service contract or rules and regulations promulgated as provided in this article, at a rate not to exceed $23.00 per hour.
C. Notwithstanding any other provision in this section, a minimum fare of $15.00 may be charged per trip from PSHIA.
D. Notwithstanding any other provision in this section, the taxicab fare per trip to the downtown Phoenix area, as described by the following boundaries, shall not exceed $17.00:
1. North boundary: Roosevelt Street.
2. South boundary: Lincoln Street.
3. West boundary: Seventh Avenue.
