All abandoned bicycles coming into the hands of the Police Department and remaining unclaimed by the owner thereof for a period of thirty days shall be disposed of by public sale or returned to the finder claiming an interest as provided herein. (Code 1962, § 11-16; Ord. No. G-1784, § 2)
